Korina Padilla is a first-generation Mexican American who was born and raised in Denver, CO. She has been active in the engineering and construction industry since 1999, with over 12 years of experience working on various construction projects throughout the Denver metro area and Colorado. Additionally, she has 6 years of experience in the non-profit sector as a Statewide Latin Engagement Manager for the Girl Scouts of Colorado and 5 years of volunteer service on the staff of the Foothills Young Marines. These roles have helped her develop strong leadership skills as well as given her continued experience with a diverse demographic and their communities.
Korina is a Survey Senior CAD Technician and part of the Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) team at HCL Engineering & Surveying, LLC. In the Survey/SUE Department, she collaborates with her team to create SUE plans and ensures accurate information is provided for the safety of future construction projects. She has extensive experience with various software and works closely with state and city organizations as well as small businesses. This expertise has contributed to the success of her team’s projects.
As a Denver native, Korina is passionate about and dedicated to her community. She is an American Red Cross Certified Instructor in Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED, providing affordable training to adults and children aged 8 and older across the Denver Metro area. She is trilingual, fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and loves practicing and learning more languages. In her free time, she volunteers for the Girl Scouts of Colorado, Young Marines, and the American Red Cross. She is also an active member of WTS Colorado and WTS International, where she works to help women advance their careers in the transportation industry and helps highlight the need for equitable transportation. Korina enjoys traveling with her family, exploring different cities, camping and hiking in the Colorado Rockies, and playing the violin. She sincerely believes you have to be willing to be the change to make a difference.
