SUMMARY:Company Finance and Accounting Systems
DESCRIPTION:This course includes topics on accounting basics and finance in the construction business\, including accounts payable\, receivable\, payroll\, budget\, forecasting and tax management. Participants will learn basic cost determination\, business planning\, banking needs and how to build an annual business plan. This is a two-day course. In addition to professor\, trainer and international business coach – John spent several years as a project manager for both Woodward and GE\, where John’s projects ranged from small hydropower plants to large gas turbine power plants.  John has 30 years of experience leading teams as a project manager\, sales manager\, Global Product Manager\, International General Manager\, International Field Engineer and US Navy Nuclear Submariner. \n\n					\n				\n							\n						\n						\n				\n					\n		\n				\n			\n						\n				\n							\n					\n				\n				\n			\n							\n				\n									\n						Priscilla Orozco-Garcia					\n				\n									\n						Priscilla has worked with small business for over 10 years. She loves to solve problems. Priscilla is fluent in English and Spanish. She has worked with various types of businesses including construction and the building trades. She teaches QuickBooks at the Metro SBDC and acts as consultant on QuickBooks. Making a difference is important to her. The first five courses are being offered in the spring of 2022\, and the remaining six courses will be offered in the fall of 2022.
