Director of Preconstruction & Estimating, Gilmore Construction
Grisel Gray is the Director of Preconstruction & Estimating for Gilmore Construction and has over ten years of preconstruction experience.
Her career began with Turner Construction, one of the most reputable general contractors in the industry. Grisel worked in some of the most complex and exciting projects we have seen in Denver and other parts of the country. Through her work in community service while at Turner, she fell in love with the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado and quickly became involved with the organization. Today, Grisel sits on the board of directors and continues her engagement efforts not just with the HCC, but also with other organizations in Colorado and Nebraska.
In 2024, Grisel was ready to take on a new challenge and accepted her role with Gilmore Construction. Her favorite part about the new role is getting to work with small businesses through collaboration and good relationships. She also enjoys learning from those companies and being a resource to them and anyone else looking to grow withing the construction industry.
Grisel has now been the recipient of many awards in our industry including the 2025 Bisnow Women Shaping Real State Award, and the 2025 Engineering News Record National Top 20 under 40 Professional. Her work in the industry goes beyond construction, and it is seen and felt from her involvement in the community and with young professionals through mentorship.
In her free time, Grisel is an avid trail runner, enjoys reading and volunteers her time at local universities to continue to spread the importance of younger generations joining the construction workforce.
