HR – Managing Your Team

This course is designed for employees beginning their management careers and those considering a transition into managerial responsibilities. This engaging and supportive learning experience is guided by the knowledge and experiences of you and your fellow participants.
By the end of this 8-hour training, you will be able to:
- Explain the function of job descriptions.
- Recall key considerations of leading others.
- Highlight factors that contribute to building positive professional relationships.
- Describe strategies used to resolve conflict in the workplace.
- Examine the use of performance review processes to develop employee accountability.
- Restate the value of mentoring in managing teams.
- Develop an argument in favor of focusing on employee retention.
Part 2 of this course is July 25 from 3-7 pm.
This is one of a series of courses presented through a Colorado Skill Advance Grant submitted by the NoCo Construction Partnership, City of Fort Collins and City of Loveland. All courses will be taught by an experienced instructor through Live Remote – so you can attend in the comfort of your home or office.
