This course is designed for employees beginning their management careers and those considering a transition into managerial responsibilities. This engaging and supportive learning experience is guided by the knowledge and experiences of you and your fellow participants.
By the end of this 8-hour training, you will be able to:
- Consider various factors related to contract terms and conditions that impact managing a construction project.
- Explain how planning and scheduling impacts building the estimate of cost for the project.
- Relate the importance of plans and specifications to managing a construction project.
- Define and describe submittals.
- Report on the relationship of quality assurance and quality control to the successful completion of construction projects.
- Describe the role of documentation in managing construction projects.
- Explain how schedule tracking fits into the responsibilities of a project manager.
- Describe how data is collected to evaluate financial aspects of a construction project.
- Outline the elements of closing out a project.
